TCU is actually constantly amazing me. For those who are unaware, TCU has a fall concert every fall semester. They typically bring in a big name act and every student gets in free... This is always a great event with a really good act.
TCU has now started a Spring Concert in the spring semester and they do the same thing. Tonight we had the Spring Concert and I must say it was a great way to start the semester, the energy was flowing and I was yet again reminded why I love TCU so much. Not because they bring in cool people or spend all this money on us, but because of how hard they work to create that sense of community. To make us all feel at one at home. There is no better way to do that than pack a majority of the student body in one place singing and dancing to the same song being preformed live.
FYI: The spring concert tonight was Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. You jealous?
Also, I am back on that tour grind and I am soon happy to be back doing one of my favorite things on this campus. This semester I will be giving more tours (yay yay yay) so expect more tour selfies. I gave a solo tour today, which is often really fun for me because I really get to connect with those in my tour group. I really tried to explain to them that TCU so valued community as a whole. I talked about how welcoming every one of the new freshmen every year, but it wasn't until being in the crowd of students tonight that I realized this is another one of many ways TCU is creating a community. I absolutely love that.
Incase you can't tell... I am very happy to be back giving tours AND simply being a horned frog. It is something to really be thankful for!
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way. A student at Texas Christian University who loves any creative insta post, all donuts, and dress pants that make you do a double take. I pray God has a grand purpose for me and I plan to get there with a little Southern and a lot of Thanks! Join me!
