THANKFUL FOR: SOUTHERN SHOWERSDepending on what part of the world you live on, one can always count on rain, no rain, or what I like to call "A Southern Shower." Here in the South the summers are hot, but the farm land is hotter. Because farming is such a big part of the way the world works, many depend on rain for a successful crop. But we Lifeguards depend on rain to get off work. Please don't get me wrong: I love my job. Seeing the kids at the pool enjoy the refreshing water that basically is a gift from God is always fun, but today I really needed to be anywhere BUT the Lifeguard chair. You see I am leaving for vacation tomorrow and that means there is lots to be done. Just as I was thinking about all I had to do once 4:00 hit, I noticed the moms and children packing up and the sight of a large front of dark blue clouds. Needless to say, I got my wish. Because of this Southern Shower lots of people became happy. The mothers who wanted to put there kids down for a nap were happy. The farmers who had been praying for water were happy. The people who needed an excuse to stay home and watch Netflix were happy. But most importantly I was happy! Take time to be thankful for things that never receive the proper amount of thanks; they can make all the difference. Coming to you from a new surrounding tomorrow, I will blog you then!
Yours Truly, Southern and Thankful
