May I start off my admitting my dad thought I should be thankful for this today and I must say he was right. Tonight I had the privilege of getting to the see original JT in concert! By "original JT" I mean James Taylor himself! His music as been around for ages and that is what makes his music the best! I'm not saying it was the best concert I've ever been to or that it's my favorite kind of music, but I will say I am glad I went! It was very cool to see how he has evolved over the years as an artist. He experimented with several differnt types of music and seems to make them work all these years later. He hasn't come out with new music in a while and still be had a packed house!! How many musicians do you know who will be able to say that at the age of 66? It really amazed me at how much energy and spunk he had on stage! I hope I can be that excited about life when I'm that age! It was very cool! I was disappointed that he didn't sing my favorite song, but I am thankful for this traditional music! It's the type of music and makes you simply smile! Be thankful for the real music of this world because it has set the bar high and has shaped the world in more ways than one! James Taylor didn't dissipoint this southern city, nor did he dissipoint my family and I! What a fun night and what a great way to show me and many others that the real music in life is still bringing out that simple smile! I'd say it's a great start to a fun weekend... Be thankful and enjoy this weekend! We are blessed friends!
