Happy Sunday people and welcome to a new month!!! Things have been good the last few days on my end, but it's crazy to me that finals are this week and Sophomore year will be over just like that. I am not really sure how I feel about that. But I can tell you I am SO ready for finals to be over.
This past weekend was actually so fun and really needed. Friday was a dead day, which means we had no class so I was able to study the whole day. I really appreciated that! Then that night I headed to Duncan, Oklahoma, with my good friend Patrick!! I had the opportunity to go home with Patrick at the very beginning of Sophomore year. That feels like just yesterday! It is so cool to look back and see how much we have changed and all we have been through this year. Not to mention it was also cool to think about how our friendship was grown over the year. Y'all it is going to be hard to leave all these people come Thursday... I am not ready for that!
Anyways, Patrick and his family treat me like one of their own so in a way it felt like I was going home! Patrick and his Mom asked me to come this weekend and take pictures of Patrick's sister, Caroline, at her prom! Patrick's mom's camera was out of operation so she needed a hand. And it just so happens I was happy to help! Caroline looked so pretty, see pics below, and it was so fun following her around on Saturday!! They kept thanking me, but honestly I was so happy to be there. Anything is better than studying... Especially taking photos!!
It was so nice to sleep in a big bed, have some home cooked food, relax in the hot tub, get snow cones, catch up on TV shows, and be loved and cared for before this crazy week!! I mean I am ready to go back now!!! It was also fun getting to meet all of Patrick and Caroline's friends/see some of them again! I really could not have asked for a better weekend!
Thank you so much!!! Y'all are some of my favorite people and I am so thankful for Patrick and I's friendship! I really needed this weekend before this crazy week. I will visit Duncan anytime... I mean now that I feel like half the town knows who I am I might just have to come more often (lol)!!
After such a fun weekend I was really not wanting to come back and do school, but only 4 more days! Better enjoy them while I can!
Do me a favor and pray for us college students this week. I know it may not seem like a big deal, but finals are really stressful. I have a final in the morning at 8 AM (sos @that) so if you want to say a little prayer I would appreciate it!
May you all have a great week and may you all start MAY off with thankful hearts! After a weekend like this one I have no choice but to be thankful starting off this month and week!

Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love.
