So excited that things are back up and running… In case you didn’t know, my web browser was down yesterday making it impossible to post. I was super bummed because
1.I try so hard to post every day.
2.I had something new and exciting I was going to start
I got the idea a while back to start doing some random guest blogging, which is super cool to have guests featured here. In this case they will be blogging about something they are thankful for. I am so thrilled because this shows how others also see the value in being thankful.
The issue was I didn’t really know whom to start with. I wanted it to be someone special. Someone who inspired me and who I knew was so thankful each and everyday. I prayed for the right person and I found her. I am beyond excited to introduce you to my sweet friend Taylor Helland. I won’t tell you all about her because she will do that, but you have to know that I met Taylor a little over a year ago. She has inspired me and I have become thankful for her friendship and just simply knowing her. I hope you take the time to read why Taylor is thankful below. I hope it also inspires you to live a #southernandthankful life daily. Thank you Taylor for doing this and being a light on this campus and in my life!
Check out Taylor’s blog at: http://www.faiththroughthefear.com/
And please notice she meet Ed Sheren last Saturday! (So jealous)
Everyone please welcome my friend Taylor…
Hi, my name is Taylor Helland! I'm a sophomore at TCU and I am involved in Chi Omega, TCU Dance Marathon, StuMo and I currently have an internship at the American Cancer Society! I'm a Strat Comm major (with Cade!!) and a Graphic Design minor. I'm a very busy girl but on top of it all, I have Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Signet Ring Cell Adenocarcinoma metastasized to my ovaries, kidney and breasts. However, with God's strength alone, I am thankful for this crazy life I've been given. I work really hard to ensure that my cancer does NOT define me. Because of my amazing parents, my beautiful sister, my incredible boyfriend, my friends and sorority sisters, my dog and my Lord, I am constantly reminded of that! So, I am #southernandthankful that I am more than my cancer!!!
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way. A recent graduate from Texas Christian University who loves any creative insta post, all donuts, and dress pants that make you do a double take. I pray God has a grand purpose for me and I plan to get there with a little Southern and a lot of Thanks! Join me!
