Food isn't just something you eat; for me it's a hobby! There are so many great foods, but the best kind is Southern Soul Food. You know fried chicken, mac and cheese, pie, vegetables, and my personal favorite... Mashed Potatoes! Ever since I remember I have liked mashed potatoes, but the best come from my JanJan (grandma) They are just perfect. She doesn't really make them very often because they are kinda hard to make, but she always makes them for special occasions, or simply when I ask. In fact, before she finishes them I always taste them and tell her just what she needs to add. Not only is it delicious, but it's something that I'll always cherish about my Janjan. This is the first, but I promise it won't be the last time I blog about good food in the south! I understand wanting to be healthy, but no matter where you are I hope you have that one special food you love to indulge in. For me it's Mashed Potatoes from my Janjan! What's yours? Be thankful for this favorite because without it everyone would be skinny and mean instead of fat and happy! I hope your now in th e kitchen searching hard for your favorite! I may go eat leftovers now... Tomorrow is a new day full of thanks! Until then...
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
