Hard to believe another week has gone by! So sorry for my absence yesterday, but I do have to rewind and tell you all how thankful I am for Friday night. Friday Night was Beta Victory (formal/dance/whatever you want to call it) and it was a blast!
Usually we have it at the Rangers Stadium, but this year we held this event with two other sororities so basically we outgrew that venue. Instead, this year it was at a hotel in downtown Fort Worth and I really liked this change. It was a wonderful event! One of my favorite things was the live band. Those are always so much fun to me. The music is better and they usually play a wide variety of songs.
One of my good friends Michelle and I went together, which worked out very well because her sorority was also hosting the event with mine that night. All of our friends in one place... Couldn't have been better! Thanks for such a great time my friend. Also, thanks for putting up with my dance moves and allowing me to run back in when I heard tswift on. You rock!!
In case y'all didn't know, I was the mascot in high school therefore I do know how to dance. I was dancing just normally until Love Shack came on. That is like my 2nd grade jam y'all. From that moment and throughout the rest of the night, I danced like I had my old mascot costume on. Out of control, probably a little over the top, but most importantly I danced like no one was watching. I actually couldn't believe it. I think the last time that happened was at a pep rally senior year. Good to know I still have rowdy in me!
This night also happened to be a great stress reliever! But the weekend is over and now this week is going to be a little crazy. I am taking it day by day!
I have a test tomorrow at 2 and I studied for a good chunk of the day. I have only had one test in this class and will only have one more (the final) so I need to do well. It was 75 questions in an hour and twenty minutes so let's pray I have the confidence of a good test taker. I have some other things this week, but right now I'm only going to worry about tomorrow. That's the best thing to do!
It's okay to dance like your the mascot at a high school pep rally. Sometimes I forget that! As always, I am thankful for that!
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
