This semester I am in Nutrition, which will be my last science class EVER in life. Really wishing I was more gifted in that area, but since I am not I will happily be finishing that lovely chapter of my life. Someone recommended Nutrition to me and so far I am really enjoying it, but today was one of the best things I have done while in a class at TCU. With each science class you take, you are required to also take a lab section of it. In my lab class this semester we will be seeing a majority of the time (I think) in the kitchen learning how to cook meals that are more healthy for you! It was actually so fun. I mean I am not really a professional chef or anything, but I don't mind cooking. Most of the time it is fun to me! So I loved that we were cooking in class. We got into groups and each group cooked something different pretty much and then at the end of class we all sampled each others and talked about whose we liked the best and what made them all easy to cook, etc.
1. Fish Tacos
2. A Pasta Salad type thing
3. Cajun Chicken Stir Fry
My group made the Cajun chicken stir fry and I was a little unsure of it at first, but it turned out tobbe pretty good. We seasoned the chicken, had brown rice, peppers, and tomatoes. It turned out to be really good! So good that everyone said ours was the best because of the flavor. We added a little extra seasoning, which the recipe didn't call for, but it made it really good! (HAHA).
The whole time I snap chatted the different steps of our cooking process hence "Cooking with Cade" via snapchat. So much better than a boring lab doing some busy work on the computer. I swear it's the little things in life y'all. Cooking and learning... what a combo! Right? I mean how can I not be thankful!
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
