This morning I woke up to a really awesome verse that I had never heard before. I always love hearing a new verse because essentially I am learning something new! This one was sent to me by a friend and it was one of the first things I saw when I woke up; that was awesome! It is Colossians 3:15 and it says,"Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful." Thats is awesome to me! I immediately went to my bible because not only does me bible contain God's word, it has a little summary for almost every verse. I love that because I can basically do my own bible study everyday! I can chose a verse that I feel like would help me on any given day and really take a bit to understand and use that in my prayer. So today, I read this and I was instantly thankful! How can we deal with life conflicts and live as God wants? This verse tells us to find peace in him and once we find that be thankful. That is really perfect for me, this week especially, because I have a really busy week and all I seem to think about is home... I'm so excited! This time of year just feels like home ya know? I am ready!! 8 DAYS!
I have a test on Tuesday, a group project to present next Monday, a essay to write, I have to attend a theater performance for a class, take a quiz on that, and on top of all that I am getting initiated this week so we have something pretty much every night this week! That part is okay because I am excited to become official and join a great brotherhood! I also have not been feeling to great, S/O to the extreme weather change on that one!
I just pray for a productively successful week full of fun and good times! I really need that... I also need some sleep and heavy clothes LOL
Also, tonight we had our first snow which was very cool!
Keep this verse in your head and I am sure you and I will have a great week! Remember to take time to share this and in doing that take time to be thankful... It is obviously important! I am thankful for God's word and Sundays! God lead me into the week with clear eyes and a full heart... I won't lose!
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
