Today was full of reasons to be thankful...so many that I struggled a little on which to pick to write about tonight. After some serious deliberation, I picked one using the highly spiritual and technical...eeny meeny miney mo technique. So, that decided...here goes:
We had several visitors come into the #chsocialshop today, which by the way, is also doubling as Southern and Thankful Headquarters. Anyway, back to the visitors...we had already celebrated a birthday with a special 14 year old and were wrapping up with that when a local celeb came in. Honestly, it's a lady I've known since basically birth because her youngest daughter and I went to the same babysitter. She also writes a blog called Pass On to Press on, which I enjoy very much. I had heard that she was writing a book, and today I got to hear about it first hand, which was very interesting!! I mean, listening to her talk about the things she's had to do, research she's done, and just some of her life lessons she was drawing from was very inspirational to me. She is also an encourager to me and my blog. This is something I am very thankful for. We all need to hear that we've either reached someone, touched someone, moved someone, encouraged someone, etc. she definitely made me feel like I am doing that. I could go on and on about her and her book, and could share the incredible stories she shared today...but, that is her story to tell. I will just say, I'm thankful for the time we spent with her today. It was unexpected...but we know it was "meant" to happen. And that, my friends, is a reason to be thankful.

Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way. I pray God has a grand purpose for me and I plan to get there with a little Southern and a lot of Thanks! Join me!
