Normally when I am thankful for a month it's at the end of it, because that's when you can see all the great things you have to be thankful for from the previous however many days. Today I saw where some said that June is an "ebullient month jolting with joy." I would say this is a pretty true statement.
I was thinking back to last June and man it was a time of real growth for me. While June was the start of a lot of great things, it also brought a lot of uncertainty when it came to the future. But to be here a year later and see just what a great month this was exactly one year ago.....wow. I can only hope this month in 2015 will be equally as great. I have some things that I am super excited about and I pray that God has great things in store for me this month. I know that life is very unpredictable and I know that things can change with the blink of an eye, but for some reason I just have a really good feeling about this month. I'm praying that it brings lots of joy because that is something we can all be thankful for.
If you have been a faithful follower then you know almost one year ago I started writing this blog. I have faithfully written alms everyday for a whole year and that is crazy to me. I plan to spend a lot of time reflecting on that and being thankful for it. I also have some big plans that I will be excited to share hopefully sometime this month. You should stay tuned for sure...It is going to be an exciting month.
Today I just want to encourage you all to look at this month from the beginning and make it your job to find the joy in June. I mean after all it is a month that is supposed to bring joy. I'm excited about that and you should be too. I know for many it may seem like any other month, but anything can be different if you make it different. Summer is starting. Love is in the air. The beach is calling. School is almost out for some of you. The sunsets will be breathtaking. The heat will rise, but so will things that make us thankful. Happy June to each of you. May it be a month with nothing but Joy!
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
