I have never really had a problem with public speaking, which in my opinion is a blessing, and that is something I am thankful for! For my diversity in the media class, instead of taking a final we did a final project which was pretty cool in my opinion. I did my final project on Diversity within the Hit show, Dancing with the Stars. I love that show and being able to do a project on it was really kinda cool. It is nice to learn about something because YOU want to. I got to see how everything works, I got to watch old clips, and then write a paper about it... Now that is my kind of project! For my research I looked at the overall diversity in the contestants, dances, songs, costumes, and much more. A common stereotype in today's society is that men can't dance and women can! I looked at the past 19 winners to see if this stereotype was portrayed in this TV show! I don't want to go into all the details, but I thought it was so cool to do a project on something that I enjoyed. There are probably over 35 people in my class and my teacher asked 5 people to present today.... I was one of those five, so I took that as a really good sign! I was just really thankful for the opportunity to do something of my choosing and to present! I really showed me that I did learn in this class and that is something that I was happy to realize. Also, I did have a final today and I think it went good! I will not know my grade until Friday so if you would continue to keep me and all other students in your prayers as we all take on the stress known as finals week, I would so appreciate that! Today, I find myself thankful for another day where I see God's plan at work. Tomorrow all classes are over and that is a nice feeling. Don't forget to stop and be thankful for even the simplest things! It makes life a litter better!
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
