Yesterday the coolest thing happened. I was scrolling through Facebook last night and saw the traditional TCU logo at the top of my news screen posted by someone. I mean that is not uncommon considering I go to TCU, but I scrolled back up to the top to read this post:
"It's official! We have a Horned Frog in the house. Jacob finally made his decision and will join the TCU class of 2020! We are thrilled that he has found his home for the next four years." A lot of my friends here often talk about how someone from their high school or one of their friends might be looking at TCU. These friends are from places like California or Chicago where TCU is a very popular school to look at. It is very rare for someone I know to look at TCU, let alone decide to come here. These same friends talk about how cool it is when they know someone who decides to attend TCU. I haven't really experienced this, until last night. The post above is from Mrs. Amy Davis, who was and still is one of my Mom's dearest friends from high school. Mrs. Amy is also a huge supporter of Southern and Thankful... She might even be my biggest fan! She was a son, Jacob, who I only know through our Mom's and he has decided to come to TCU next year, which gives me the perfect opportunity to really get to know him!! Even though Jacob and I aren't super close I am so excited that he is making the decision to attend TCU. I gave Jacob and his family a tour last semester and a few weeks ago when they visited my Mom and I were able to take them to some of our favorite spots. Many more good times to come... Oh how it is so cool to know someone who is joining the class of 2020!! When I first saw this post, I thought back to the day I decided to attend TCU. I was very scared to make the decision, but being able to now think about that day and look back and see how things turn out only further assures me that God's plan is the perfect plan. I am excited for Jacob to begin this awesome journey because I know one day he will look back and be so thankful for how things worked out. Congrats Jacob!! Welcome to the Horned Frog Family!! I am so happy to have you!! GO FROGS!! Please say a prayer for me as I am quite stressed by the busy day I have tomorrow. Hopefully this time tomorrowI will be done with my test and have my paper turned in... here's hoping!! Happy Hump Day... Stay thankful! 1 day... I can do this. Yours Truly, Southern and Thankful

Cade- I'm just in tears right now after reading your post tonight. I'm so honored that you used our good news to reach others. I know Jacob will have an awesome mentor in you as he begins his journey at TCU.
