Hi, so I skipped yesterday on accident because I feel asleep and then I was too tired when I woke up and realized that I forgot to blog. It all honesty worked out really well because I kind of wanted to do one large post about the past two gorgeous days. The weather here in fort worth has been too good and it came just in time for the long weekend. I love long weekends because they are just extra fun. Everyone seems to be in such a good mood because hey, they have a whole extra day! At first, I was wishing I would have made fun plans like a get away to my lake, but after the past two days I am thankful that I was able to stick around and really enjoy TCU on the first weekend back. I, of course, found fun things to do and with the added ability to enjoy outside, it was great.
Saturday, I slept in with no alarm which is one of the best feelings ever. Once I realized how great the weather is, I had to go out and enjoy. It was such a great day and I loved laying outside with friends and my t-shirt quilt taking in the gift from God. I have also eaten some good food this weekend, seen some good movies, crossed somethings off my to-do list, watched some netflix, did some exploring, and just grew thankful for all the extra time that comes with a long weekend. I even got to put the sunroof down, which really excites me and makes me ready for spring!!
It is so important to recognize and be thankful for the time that God has given us. It is especially easy since there was such great weather, but really no matter what, we should always do this. I mean I honestly can't get over how beautiful it was this weekend and how it could not have come at a better time. Kind of strange, considering that it is January, but I have had enough of the cold and will be ready for spring weather whenever. It is such a blessing to be able to lay in the grass and look up at the sun and not be worried. I know people in other places probably have never been able to do something like this and it makes me extremely thankful for the opportunities and the place I am in.
So thank you God for a long weekend, with great weather, with great food, and with great people. It's not everyday a person gets this lucky, but it is everyday that I am this thankful! Keep the warm weather here as long as you like... Ill be loving it no matter what!
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
