(Odds are you wont read this whole thing... Do it. You won't regret it)
Today, I started my way down the mountain (with lots of people making remarks about my sign) and suddenly it hit me that today is the last day of 2014. I stopped and thought about this time last year... It was a big year. This year has by far been the hardest year, but at the same time it has been the best. Looking back, I can't believe all the things I was so worried about one year ago, are here and gone.
God is so good.
This year has brought great memories, great new/old friends, great family, a great school, a great passion for being thankful, and a great strength. I stopped and thanked God because he deserves all the credit for this crazy year! Things changed in a years time, but one thing remains the same... God is past, present, and future ( 2015). You have what, a couple of hours? Give thanks for all in your life this past year, good and bad. It is the best way to send 2014 on its way! I have thanks beyond this year, but I owe 2014 a little credit for that! After some time with our great God, I opened my eyes to this masterpiece and I was forever reminded just how GREAT God is!
Happy 2015 my friends, may you always give thanks!

Back on the sloops today and it felt great. It has been a couple of years so I was excited to get back out there! I'm in a new place and with something new, I looked at it as an adventure. I'm the type of skier that just likes to take it easy. I'm not trying to show off or see what all I can do. Instead, I like to ski along watching others and taking in everything that is around me. This means I like the greens the most because they are the easiest! I like the blue's, but I often find that I worry way to much to have fun. We all like to take it easy, but some are more skilled than others! After an amazing lunch, we split up and mills and I went to the top of the mountain with our Bia because I wanted a really cool picture. I will almost do anything for a great picture! Before we went up, mills kept complaining about how the only way down was via a blue or black, but I didn't care... I was too excited about the picture! After I got the picture it kind of sunk in that it would not be an easy ride down. Long story short: it was snowing like crazy and our googles fogged up. This caused us to get a little confused on the trail we were going on. We ended up going down a black and I thought I wasn't going to make it. I don't know how people do it! Even though it was a hard way down I am thankful for this adventure with Mills and Bia. The pictures were pretty great too! Doing things out of your comfort zone are of course scary, but they often have the best outcome. Today I am thankful for that! I have a feeling I am going to be very sore tomorrow! Tomorow is the last day of 2014 and this was the perfect last adventure for the this year. I am so so thankful!

You are probably reading the title and thanking, "what the heck?" Yeah, it's kinda weird, but it is a perfect pun for what I am thankful for today.
For those of you who know me, you know that I DO NOT get up early for very many things. One thing that I do get up for, is doughnuts. I mean who doesn't love doughnuts? I have leaned that the earlier you get up, the hotter and more fresh they are. After my adventure in Denver, I made my way to the mountains and in hopes of beating the snow storm, I was forced to wake up at 5:30 AM. I REPEAT AM.
|| makes me sick just thinking about it TBH ||
Various people have told me about this delicious doughnut place in Denver called "Vodoo Doughnuts" and so I made a deal. If I was getting up that early, I was getting doughnuts! So at 6 something this morning my doughnut life was forever changed. OHMYGOSH the amount of doughnuts they had and the differnt flavors... It was unbelievable. You name it, they had it! My personal favorite was the "Oh Caption My Caption!" This was a Caption Crunch Doughnut. I am thankful for this sweet treat that started out my day just right. If you ever are in Denver make your way to Vodoo. You won't regret it!
My second favorite thing from today was the snow. I love snow, but being in the south I don't ever see much real snow! Therefore, I love any opportunity to play in real snow. Today, I got that opportunity again! It snowes the whole way up the mountain, which was difficult, but once we got to the destination, being snowed in become fun! I got my GoPro and took to videoing/capturing the day that was today. The snow was literally up to my knees and I loved every minute of it. The pictures below, of course, don't do the day Justice, but they will give you some idea. God is so great. He makes beautiful doughnuts and he makes beautiful places. I am extremely thankful for this opportunity and time in my life. The cold may be chilly, but my heart is sure warm! Find thanks in the everything beautiful because God made it that way for a reason. I am thankful that I regonized this just in time! You should do the same! Do you want a doughnut now?

I am so tired I can barely keep my eyes open, but I cannot let this day go by without sharing my thanks. Today was a wonderful day!!! It was an exciting day and it was a day of celebration. The celebration was in honor of my parents because today they have been married for 23 years... Isn't that awesome? They are such a great example and I only hope that I will be able to share a love with someone the way they do! They are an awesome light in my life and I owe them everything. I am thankful they got married and fell in love because they were then able to make a wonderful family for me to grow up in! Kind of like a domino effect... You get me? No matter what, I am thankful for there 23 great years and many many more!
To celebrate this great achievement, we started the day with a great bunch and then went to the Denver Broncos game! This is the excitement I earlier referred to! Some of us were more excited than others, but I was just excited because I had never been to an NFL game ever. I really like college football and it was pretty cool experiencing a different league! Some might not think there was a differnce, but to me the NFL is a whole other world. Also, when attending football games I never really have to worry about it being freezing cold.
Side note: I am very thankful for my Colarado friends that I have made. S/O to Caitlin Kearney for giving me a heads up to dress warm at the game... I can't imagine what it would have been like if she hadn't of helped out! Thanks;)
2 pairs of gloves, 2 pairs of socks, 3 shirts, 2 jackets, 1 hat, and a couple of other things later, I was as puffy as a chetto and ready for the day! In the back of the mind I knew no matter what all I put on, I'd still be cold. Yep, I was right! It didn't really get to cold until the fourth quarter, but hey it was worth it! What an awesome experience! I would also like to add that I had pretty great seats! The Broncos won and all in all it was a great day to celebrate my parents and marriage! I am so thankful for the experiences I have been given in my life, the love my parents have for eachother, friends all over the place, and the fact that I didn't turn into a block of ice. God truly is present in my life and he makes it all so wonderful! Until more fun tomorrow, go BRRRRRRoncos!

I can think of many instances that we would call "long days!" Days of travel, bad days, or when days that go by so very slow may seem long, but they have one thing in common... THEY ARE LONG! Today, was a long day, therefore I looked at the positive side and realized that some things make long days 10x better.
2. A good book
3. Comfortable Dress
5. You choose
Music, as I believe we have talked about before, is absolutely something to be thankful for. You can listen to whatever you want, but no matter what, it can almost always make things better. I love to listen to my favorite songs that make me think of happy things or just simply pump me up. The good thing about music is that you can listen to whatever you want whenever you want and it will provide you with whatever you are in the mood for! Music derseves my thanks today!
I just started reading the Hunger Games final book because I am basically obessed with the series and man was I thankful to have that book today. I actually like to read, but there is a differnce between having to read and wanting to read. I hate reading for school because typically the topic is boring or uninteresting to me. I don't really ever have time to the read the things in life that I want to read, so I am so thankful that I could do what I wanted today. Perks of being on winter break Id say!
I love clothing. I love looking nice and getting compliments. Some people could care less, but there is a fine line between looking nice and looking like you just rolled out of the bed. I know that if you dress to a level that makes you feel good, then those long days wouldn't be so long. I see people going places in there pj's or people who are in high heals and they wonder why they are stressed or tired. They are either too lazy or overdressed. You can find that perfect balance and it doesn't even have to be at an expensive cost! Today, I love my confy winter outfit and even got a few compliments... That is something to be thankful, for sure!
This is a given. Don't loose your temper. Take death breaths. Always remember that things could be worse. "Patience is a vertiue grasshopper!" I am thankful for patience.
Lastly, look for other things to be thankful for during long days. Mine would for sure be something like food or Starbucks because who doesn't love that. Sadly, that wasn't really part of my day, but I am still thankful for it because it would have made a huge differnce I know! So to the things that I didn't in counter today, know I am so do thankful!
I am currently on an adventure and I am so exited! Next time you have a long day, remember what you need and what you need to be thankful for! A long day can only improve if thankfulness is present!

I love how I wrote this whole thing and then some how it didn't save. I love that I am writing it again. I love making the best of my small town and all that is has to offer! Some of the best days spent in Stuttgart are the days that you have every intention of running errands as quickly as possible, but before you even begin, you know that will never happen. I love the small businesses in my hometown. I love going places and knowing post people. I love how my small town loves me and how I love them! These days are often spent with Stephanie and like I said, they are some of my favorite days! Today, was one of those days and like any other, we started at the best lunch spot, the Gosdip Shop! They have the perfect lunch food and they have a perfect way of reminding me how much I love Stuttgart! After that, we went to the usual places like Coker Hampton, Wal-Mart, and Macks because these are our favorite places and these are where we find most of the things we are needeing. You would think it wouldn't be that hard to find the things you need and get out, but often we see so many people we know that the process usually takes much longer. That's okay because that is one of the many perks of living in a small town! If it's a real good day, Stephanie will help me me wash my car! She will complain about it the whole time, but that is one of the many things I appericated her for! It may not be a big thing, but these days are some of my favorite because they are so simple and so us! Thanks for joining me on these days, Steph! For me, they never grow old! They truly make me appreciate this small town that is Stuttgart! It has been a great day and a very productive day at that! I am currently having a sleep over with Hillary and Madison! We watched a scary movie, where Hillary scram the whole time, and now we are watching the old Annie to calm her down. Oh how things never change! I am thankful for the people in my life that make it so special and so fun! I am thankful that I get to spend this much needed break in the best small town! I will never get tired of days running errands with my best friend and sleepovers with the family! Makes me love life more and more each day! Be thankful for the days in life that you will never forget because they are extra specia! I know I am and I couldn't think of a better thing to do the day after Christmas! Remember to be extra thankful as you end the year... I hear it makes for a great start to a new year!

Everyone celebrates Christmas and the birth of Jesus differently, and that is precisely what I love about today. It is not about what is under the tree or what you are doing, but it is about how you recognize that Christ is born. Presents, Santa, and all the other fun traditions are just added perks. I know some really harp on this during Christmas, but I want to just say how thankful I am to have been taught this every Christmas. Santa and the family brought lots of great things like vineyard vines, and a selfie stick (which you all know I LOVE) and that is often a great part of Christmas for me. I love seeing everyone get things that they would never buy themselves, things they would have never wanted, and things that they wanted so badly. It is so fun to give AND receive during Christmas time. I have always loved the build up to Christmas because it is so crazy and over the top, but I must say the best thing about Christmas is Christmas Day. In fact, I have never been able to sleep very much the night before because I am always so excited. I am so thankful that this year I slept all through the night, but still woke up at the perfect time to start the celebrations. We do Santa and gifts with the whole family, along with a great brunch, every year, but before we really do anything, we read the bible story. Mills and I always take turns, but it is a tradition of ours that I love and will always cherish. It really puts you in the right mind set to properly enjoy gifts. We also take a minute and pray together for anything and everything on our mind and heart. I am incredibly thankful for a God centered family who understands the importance of celebrating the real reason for the season. My aunt and uncle always have to head to do with other family, but the four Bethea's take the lazy day seriously and watch great Christmas movies in-between naps! It is something am thankful for because after a busy morning, it is almost needed! I see people who have to do all this traveling during the Holidays, and I know that they probably love that, but I am thankful that I am able to spend the day at home in front of my Christmas Tree, in my pajamas ALL DAY, with my family. Janjan and Bia come back down for dinner and we just enjoy being together! I love anything that reminds me of how blessed I am and Christmas is one of those days for sure! I am blessed when it comes to friends and family, I am blessed when it comes to great gifts and foods, and I am blessed when it comes to christ being born. What a great day that must have been all those years ago! Who knew that little baby in a manger, would change life as we know it. I am forever thankful for that because without him, I wouldn't be who I am today... That is the best Christmas gift of all. Knowing Jesus was born today to change our world is truly mind blowing. I always hate that Christmas is over, but some years it is easier than others. 2014 has been great, but I am personally ready for a new year! I will take these last couple of days and live them to the fullest because they are the closing chapters in the pages of 2014... I will fill them with thanks and I will make it the best ending... Christmas is defiantly adding to that great ending. I pray that everyone had a great Christmas. I pray for the nonbelievers. I pray for those who had no one to be with on Christmas. I pray for those who are sick or hurt. I pray for those who are missing a loved one today. I pray for those who are missing someone for the first time. I know things are not always easy, but thank goodness we have days like Christmas to remind us that they are worth it. Merry Christmas to you all! Thankful is at the center of such a wonderful day like today. Happy Birthday Jesus... Thanks for coming into this world and giving me the best Christmas gift!

The eve of Christmas has always been a favorite day of mine! We have some great traditions that make this day so special to me!
1. Every Christmas Eve we go to the FUMC Christmas Eve Church service. There are always tons of people there and everyone is always in such good spirits to celebrate the coming of Christ. I love this service with my whole heart, but my favorite thing is at the end. Ever since I remember, we have all had a candle and they light the one at the end of the pew and then they light the person next to them and so on, until the whole church is glowing. The lights are off, but the room is beautifully bright! We sing silent night and the whole thing has just been a favorite of mine. I know they do this at lots of other church's, but I am thankful I have grown up with this tradition that helps us celebrate the birth of Jesus!
2. I love how we always go to my Janjan and Bias to have our annual Chritmas Party. It is a time of great fun and joy with wonderful family! The food and dessert is pretty good also. We laugh and love so much, it makes my heart happy!!! I am so thankful for my family because they make Christmas Eve so special. I love everyone being home and I am so thankful we are able to have this tradition year after year!
3. Last, but not least I love how my mom gives my brother and I Christmas Pajamas! This is another sweet tradition that I always remember. We act as if we don't know we are getting them, but we, of course, do and it is one of my favorite gifts! Tonight, my mom got a little confused and I ended up opening two of my gifts that were not meant to be opened tonight. That's okay though... I still love her! If you know me, you also know I love Vineyard Vines and for the past couple of years we have been given vineyard vin es pj's and they are my favorite!!! Not only do I love the cute Christmas designs, but I love how comfortable they are!! Thanks, vineyard vines, for being part of our Christmas Eve traditions... I wouldn't have it any other way!
These traditions are so close to my heart and they all make Christmas feel like Christmas. I hope you have Christmas Eve traditions that make this time extra special. If so, join me in being so thankful for those traditions! I am so excited to celebrate Jesus's birth tomorrow! I better get to bed so that Santa can come! Merry Christmas to you all and to all, a thankful goodnight!

"TOMORROW TOMORROW ILL LOVE YA TOMORROW YOUR ONLY A DAY AWAY!!"Tonight, I finally broke down and saw this "new Annie." Having seen the first one multiply times and seeing it in musical form also, I just didn't feel right picturing Annie as anything but the curly red headed orphan. I do understand that times are always changing, but some things will never grow old. This cast was fabulous with Cameron Diaz and, of course, the amazingly talented african american Annie, but for me it will never be as good. Don't get me wrong, the cast was talented and it was a cute idea with a modern twist, but those who grew up with the original Annie and Daddy Warbucks, will not be as pleased. It has nothing to do with race or anything like that, I mean the new Annie is the youngest girl to ever be nominated for best actress oscar. There is no doubt she is good, but for me it was just not the same. I am sure the younger generation will grow up loving this movie, but for those who grew up with the other one, it will never compare. I am not encouraging you to not watch it, I am simply giving you my opinion!
Today, one funny thing happened that is so ironic I can't stand it! I went to All About You to get my haircut and right before I left they asked if I would draw the winner out of a fish bowl for a raffle they were doing. I of course said sure and so I did. You will never guess who's name I drew... I drew Madison Homra' name and I could not believe it. Sister, whenever you use that new straightener, remember your brother won it for you!
Also, today I got to work again with my Mom and then after dinner we went Christmas light looking. It is not like we have some major attraction in the city of Stuttgart, but I just feel like that is a Christmas Tradition that we should all try include in our Holiday. In return I also believe that we should make a little more of an effort in decorating our houses for the Holiday. It is said to look down a street this time of year and it be pitch black. When I see a sad looking house it just reminds me of Christmas with the Kranks because in that movie the only people who don't decorate are the ones not celebrating Christmas! Make some effort next year please. For those of you who did, thank you... It makes the whole process enjoyable.
Finally, Hillary returned home. We are all reunited and just in time for Christmas. We all went to see Annie and that is a wrap for my busy day! I don't really have any big lessons that I learned today, I am just thankful for such a great, fun day with lots of great, fun people! If you are looking for a cute movie to take the little ones to see... Go see Annie. If you are looking for a new straightener... Go see Madison. If you are looking to BRIGHTEN your Christmas spirit... go light looking! A busy day brings lots and lots of things to be thankful for... Take the time to be thankful, if not I hear Santa doesn't visit...
And get ready for TOMORROW TOMORROW BECAUSE CHRISTMAS EVE IS ONLY A DAY AWAY!

It is officially the eve of Christmas Eve and I am hoping that it will begin to feel a little more like Christmas. In hopes of this, I got together with my friends Stephanie, Maycen, and Leighton for our annual Christmas Party. We have been doing this ever since the 10th grade and it has kind of become a tradition. Last year it was so fun, but so weird at the same time because we were seniors. I remember Maycen's mom telling us that this time next year we would all know where we were attending college, we would all have found friends, we all would be graduated from high school, and all the things we were so worried about would be over and we would be back together sharing all of our stories. How weird is that? As I prepared yesterday for the party I couldn't help but think of that and all that has happened in a years time. I look back on last year and think about how worried I was for the second semester of high school and being in college classes, how I was worried that I would never decide on a school to attend, how I was afraid I would never find a place to fit in or people to fit in with, how I thought, at times, it was impossible, how I was worried about leaving home, or how I was worried that I would lose my best friends. Looking back, that was normal, but it is sure nice to see how God worked everything out and how much of an impact he has had on this year. We got to laughing last night because last year Maycen gave me a t-shirt that was maroon and she gave it to me to remember her by... like I would never see her again or something hahahaha. We ate great food, had great laughs, and shared great stories. It was a great night that I always look forward to. It was very different because we didn't have childish high school things to talk about or homework we had to do over the break, but it was a good different and I am thankful for that! It is weird how fast the time has changed, but no matter what I pray that this one thing remains. I love my friends and I do not know where I would be without them. This past year we had some great times and celebrations and I will always love those. I mean we even went to DC together. Gosh it was a great year! My last post was about how important family is during Christmas, but don't forget that friendships are equally as important! What a blessing this year has been and what a blessing my friends have been! Merry Christmas Eve Eve from us to you!
