You must excuse me! With finals week basically here I decided it was better to go to bed last night vs. saying up even later to blog. Love you, but I love sleep... Especially when I need it.
For some odd reason my conscience will not let me waste time when I have to be studying. I do hate that! But I guess it is for the best. I have been studying and studying...I am ready for finals to be over!! Last night I decided I needed a break. The good thing is that my conscience does know when it's time for one.
The other day on my tour, one of the mom's asked a question that really got me thinking!
"So do Freshman have a bucket list of things to do in their first year?"
I mean I thought about it and I think it's a personal preference, but there are things that freshman here have to do and there are things that I wanted to do. I started naming some typical things off.
1. Get put on the big screen at a football game. CHECK
2. Jump in frog fountain.
3. Go to Billy Bob's.
4. Go to the top of the stadium. CHECK
5. Make friends (cliche) CHECK
6. Get involved (cliche) CHECK
7. Go to Lab (its a TCU thing) CHECK
8. Go to Winstar. CHECK
9. Get a pic on the football field CHECK
10. Pull a all nighter
11. Go the Texas State Fair
12. Finish the year without an AV CHECK
13. Picture with super frog.
14. See how many formals/mixers you can attend CHECK
15. Collect over 50 new t-shirts. CHECK
So as you can see I have done 10 our of 15, which I would say is pretty good. But I do love a challenge and freshman year is not over yet. So last night I decided to check another one off the list. I have never actually been to Billy Bob's. For those of you who don't know what that is, it the the world's largest honkey tonk. Now, if you know me then you know I wouldn't really fit in with the whole cowboy boots, hat, and huge belt buckle. But I am in Texas so I have to try. Last night, I finally made my first appearance at Billy Bob's and I must say it was an experience. One I am glad to have had during my freshman year. Thursday Nightis college night, but I went last night because it was there was a concert. Kacey Musgraves, a country singer, was preforming so figured it was a good time to go. I don't really know a lot of her music, but that is the fun of going to a concert. I would say it was a pretty great last Friday night of Freshman year.
Pray for me and finals! Summer is so close and I am so ready. I will keep you updated on the rest of my list.
3. Go to Billy Bob's. CHECK

Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
