Today I had a HUGE realization and that is that College is not Camp. Not that I don't like camp, but when I was younger I didn't have the best time at camp. It was nothing to do with the camp part, but more with the being away from home and not being able to have communication with my parents. I have never liked being out of my comfort zone, but I am pretty sure no one enjoys that! Today, I helped my friend Stephanie move her carpet into her dorm. (way harder than it sounds) It made me excited to get to college and see my new home away from home. Even though I will be a little further, I realized that my friends and family can come visit whenever they want. I hear I won't want this once I am there, yes that is my hope, but for now it is very comforting knowing that my life for the next year will not be like camp. I know it sounds silly, but like I said silly things like this make me feel ten times better. I'll take that any day! It is important to be thankful for the things in life that keep us calm, cool, and collected. I hate to worry (i am very good at it), but that is where I have to remember to have faith in God. That is probably the most important thing that keeps me calm, cool, and collected. I hope you remember to have faith in him... I promise it is the best when it comes to worry. Think about all the things he does for us. He has a plan and everything on that plan will happen for a reason. So yes, I am on a big faith kick, but like I said the fact that
1. College is not like Camp
2. God has a prefect plan for me
is making this whole preparation much easier. So whether you are going to college, starting a new school, new job, new friends, going through rush, trying something new, or doing anything that is out of your comfort zone, I encourage you to have faith and be thankful for faith. It keeps the head on straight and the heart happy!

2 Corinthians 5:7 - (For we walk by faith, not by sight.)
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
