Finals already started for me and just my luck, they end for me today, but most people are just starting today. Yesterday I didn't really feel to great and I was a little stressed for my online history final today. No worries I am feeling better this morning and I am ready to take this final shortly. Aside from all the stress and troubles yesterday, the coolest thing happened in my dorm last night. A group of us got together and worshiped, prayed, and read some scripture in preparation for finals and to help us all feel a little better. It really was awesome. It is always cool to feel that energy and feel so good in that moment. Everyone during this time is stressed and anxious, but what is so cool is that a group of us were able to get together and show those around us that even though a lot is going on and we are sure worried, we can always find peace in God. Now that is something to be thankful for! Stress comes from lots of things and everyone deals with stress or worry differently. It is okay to be stressed to a certain point, but once you go past that point you need to remember that you have a God who loves you always, has a plan for you, and is with you always. You can always take comfort in that because that is the plus side to believing and loving God. No matter what may be causing you to worry this time of year, remember to find peace in God. This can be through prayer, song, dance, scripture, and more. And after you find peace in God be thankful for that and be thankful that you have him and he has you! It is hard to believe that the next time I post I will be done with finals... PRAISE HIS HOLY NAME! Take this peace with you throughout the Holiday season and throughout life in general, it makes things so much easier. And when you take the time to pray, give thanks for the peace you find!
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
