Today we did something that we seldom get the chance to do... We went to Little Rock as a family.
For those who are unaware, Little Rock is the capitol of Arkansas and it is about one hour from my small town. Because my parents own a small business, we all try to support local businesses, but sometimes there are just things that you can't get in a small town. And sometimes it is nice to have a change of scenery. We rarely get to go to Little Rock as a family of four. At times some in my family get there pretty frequently, but it almost never is all four of us.
You can see it was a treat to go today as a family, especially since I am going back to school this next week!
Today we all gave our lunch spot a ten.
That's a thing in our family. We rate things. 1 being the worst. 10 being the best! It can be for anything, for example:
"How was your day on a scale of 1 to 10?"
"How was your trip on a scale of 1 to 10?"
You all get me?
We went to Heights Taco & Tamale and it was so good! Lots of fresh/homemade Mexican dishes. The tamales were fantastic. I mean you'd hope so since that is the name of the place (LOL). The cheese dip was also to die for. I mean it may now be one of my favorite places to eat in Little Rock. They also serve soft serve ice cream in cake cones and buttermilk chocolate cake. I mean the cake looked so good we just had to get a piece to take home. I can't speak for it yet because we are saving it for later, but if it is as good as everything else at the restaurant I can only imagine how heavenly it is going to be. So what I am trying to say is that I highly recommend this new fav!!
Time with my family of 4 is always fun, especially when good food and a movie is involved. I am so thankful for this time with them! Until our next Little Rock date... Check this place out, take your family, and be thankful!
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
