I have talked before about the importance of being spontaneous and as much as I believed that to be true, I had to squeeze in one more random thing freshman year.
If you keep up with me then you are aware that I have a small sweet tooth for donuts. When I say small I actually mean very big. Any and every kind will work just fine for me. Any opportunity to go get donuts is an opportunity I am going to take. I love the little local donut shops and the people that frequently visit them. I haven't really found one of those here, but yesterday when my friend Hunter asked if I wanted to get up and go to the closet Krispy Kreme today, I could not say "no" to that. Krispy Kreme is so good, but the issue is that the closest one is about 30 minutes away from TCU. Kind of strange considering all we have around here. I also couldn't resit this offer when I heard that if you bought a dozen donuts then you would get a dozen free. WHAT KIND OF DEAL IS THAT YOU ASK? A SWEET ONE!
So this morning I literally rolled out of bed and Hunter and I drove straight to the Krispy Kreme. I was kind of happy with this decision because it was so nasty outside this morning... I needed something to brighten my day. Donuts came to my rescue. Now, why I thought I needed 24 donuts? I am not really sure, but we got there and the hot light was on (that would be a gift from God my friends) and all the different donuts just sent me into a bit of a daze, so yes, I bought 24 donuts... Judge me. But the nice thing about having all these donuts is giving them to friends. This puts a nice smile on there face and makes me look extra nice (lol).
Life is fun with good times and donuts like these. Start tomorrow with a donut... probably not 24, but one or two won't hurt. Hey maybe you could give some to a friend... That would be nice of you! I am thankful for today simply because it started out in a great way! Now if you will excuse me, after studying and doing laundry today, dancing with the stars and one of my many donuts are calling my name. Wow, I like being this thankful. Donut you?
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way.
