Tonight I had the opportunity to have dinner at the chancellor's house, through Student Foundation (STUFO), and what a fun time it was. This is an annual event at the end of each school year, but last year it had to be moved somewhere on campus due to bad weather. I was excited to go visit the chancellor's home because I knew it was going to be spectacular.
Needless to say, it was a fun time with good food and fun company. This was also the seniors last STUFO event and what a fun way to end their time here. Every time we have an event I am always reminded how lucky I am to be in such a phenomenal organization with such incredible people.
Huge thank you to the chancellor and his family for opening their home, providing a yummy meal, giving gifts, and making each one of us feel known and welcome. I do not know about other universities, but I don't really ever hear any of my other friends talk about having dinner with the chancellor at his own home. Pretty cool, huh? Just another reason why I am in love with this university.
It was also cool getting to tell the chancellor a little bit about Southern and Thankful. He said he also journals almost every day, which is fun. I encouraged him to write his own blog (lol).
I wish I could elaborate more on the night, but I have to quickly finish a 15 page paper and turn it in. Prayers prayers prayers because I have a few too many things due this week. I am on the downhill side now and I am thinking that is something to be thankful for!
Southern and Thankful
Blessed is an understatement when it comes to my life. Each and every day I am amazed by God's steadfast love. In return, I have claimed this space to show my thanks and whatever else comes along the way. I pray God has a grand purpose for me and I plan to get there with a little Southern and a lot of Thanks! Join me!
