Okay so no the crown isn't for me, but it was given to someone very deserving and special! I am so excited to announce that my best friend, Hannah Oliver, is the new Miss Northeast Arkansas Outstanding Teen 2015!! Hannah is a pageant girl, which makes me the pageant boyfriend, who competes in the Miss America system. Hannah will be competing for Miss Arkansas Outstanding Teen this summer for the third time and I could not be more excited/thankful for this opportunity for her. To go to MAOT one has to when a local prelim and that is what Hannah did tonight, making her eligible for the pageant this summer! I know it is always stressful for her, but it also is stressful for me because all I want is for her to win and be happy. At times that is so hard, but again that just goes to show that we have to trust God and his plan. She will have a great year of service that will be with her for the rest of her life. I know some people think pageants are dumb, at times I do, but I have seen first hand that they do have positive outcomes. They help build confidence, they allow girls to serve in many areas, they bring together life long friendships, and they also show the inner and outer beauty. I am thankful that Hannah has found something she loves and I am thankful that she was worked hard to reach one of her many goals. I typically try to attend them, but being that I live in Texas now, it was VERY weird not being their tonight. I was literally jumping up and down in my dorm room. I couldn't contain my excitement!!! I know this will be a wonderful time in your life Han. I am thankful for that and I am thankful to say I have a small part in it. I know God has wonderful plans for you... If this doesn't reassure you then I don't know what would! Overall active wear, Tie for talent, and the New Miss Northeast Arkansas Outstanding Teen... Man am I a lucky guy or what? I can't wait to take a look at the new attire and see you. I will always support you... even a million miles away. Congrats, you are right where God wants you to be. I guess that makes me thankful right? Sending my love from TX. Don't mess up my... I mean your crown. Show the world what you got... I'll be here watching... thankful as ever!
